When Mass Effect 3 was announced, the bar was set high. The conclusion to the epic sci fi thriller was highly anticipated and the pressure was on. Will ME3 deliver?
For those that aren’t familiar with ME3, it’s a Bioware game that is a cross between a RPG and a Shooter. ME is it’s own universe however if I had to explain it to somebody who has no knowledge of it, I would say it’s a mix of Star Trek, Star Wars, and the Matrix. ME3 picks up around six months after the conclusion of ME2. You continue the role of Commander Shepard. You can port your Commander from the second game to use in the third installment. If your new to the series you can design your Shepard. You decide the Commander’s sex, look and class.
Anybody who has played a Mass Effect game knows that the main selling point is the epic story and this game lives up to the expectations. I won’t spoil any of the major details however I must give away a few tidbits of info. Your Commander Shepard, you have left Cerberus the Human-first organization that brought you back to life and assisted you in jumping through the Omega-4 Relay and defeating the Collectors. Your relived of your duty and you are stationed on Earth.
