Season 2

Season 2 starts off with our group leaving The CDC. They are heading towards Fort Benning and hopefully a safe spot. Along the way, at a massive car pile up on the highway, they encounter a herd of Zombies. Sophia, a young girl, runs off in fear. Rick trys to save her but loses her in the process. Finding Sophia becomes the major plot line for most of this season.

White hunting food, Rick’s son Carl, gets shot. Rick and Shane find a farmhouse and luckily inside they meet Dr. Hershel Greene and his family. Carl eventually will recover.

They meet many other people in a few different episodes, they take a captive and debate on killing him. A few morality questions are posed. We also start to find out that Hershel and family and storing zombies in their barn, refusing to kill them. Shane is really starting to lose it because of the love triangle. We also find out Lori is pregnant which adds fuel to that fire. Who’s child is it?

The season ends with a showdown between Shane and Rick over Lori. Rick wins with Carl shooting Zombie Shane afterwards. The final episode is the most action packed of the season with a full Zombie onslaught on the farmhouse causing our characters to once again flee. Andrea is left behind running for her life. The final scene shows us the Prison for the next season.

Season 2 is the weakest of the series so far. A lot of budget cuts were made before the season began and more episodes were added. This caused this season to be drawn out with a lot of filler episodes. Zombie encounters were low.
