Id like to give a shout to XOC2008 for the inspiration that brought this custom into being.

Now, while his was an LBC I myself wanted to bring a bit more of that vintage eel feel into the mix. I did this by painting grey on the wetsuit, and giving him the red aquaviper harness from the ROC shark I believe. I also left the lower arms alone because I thought he is a diver, why not let him keep the close quarters dart launcher, might come in handy during some aquatic battles. Then I also gave him a nice spear gun and we all know who provided that one! Other than that the recipe is more or less the same as his with a few tweeks, I hope you enjoy!

Recipe
head: DG Storm Shadow
Body: Ret. Ult. Snake-Eyes (modified feet to work with ROC flippers)

Accessories
Vest: ROC Aqua-Viper
BP: DG Shipwreck
Helmet: ROC Flash w/ Hoses from DG Shippy rebreather
Pistol: Ret. Ult. Snake-Eyes
Knife: Ret. Ult. Snake-Eyes
Spear gun: Ret. Lady Jaye
Rifle: Fodder, probably Ret. Combat Ninja or something

I'd lose the power javelin and find an APS from the '03 Depth Charge and Heavy Water figures. Otherwise it's an excellent example of the KISS principle.

That is sweet! Nice work - thanks for the recipe as well. I'd take several of these! :D

Just out of curiosity, where did you get the idea that my version was an LBC? Neck mod, changed out the forearms.. the only thing was I didn't do was paint it. But it was hardly 'lazy'. A No-Paint Custom, yes. :)

Ask MR about that :D

But you're right, most (it seems) consider no paint customs to be LBC...if anything, they can sometimes be even more difficult as finding matching color parts isn't always easy, and can get rather pricey...

I could see if I did no mods whatsoever, but I hollowed the wrists of the forearms so the hands would sit right, plus the neck mod. I admit, I do No-Paint because it's easier on me due to a) the window of time in the year where I can paint and have it not look like ass is a thin one, and b) I suck balls at painting figures. :) I'm of the opinion that people shouldn't refer to another person's custom as an LBC unless that person stated it first. It diminishes the work that person did. Like you said, even finding matching parts can be difficult.

I'm not taking offense by this, by the way. But I just wanted to clear it up and say that I don't feel my Eel was an LBC in the slightest.

It was spotty memory honestly. I forgot about the neck mod when I was typing it up and just remembered the subtle changes that made it seem like an LBC. I know I didnt change too much outside of painting and modding the feet to take the flipper pegs.
We'll just say you were making an efficient custom, one that the parts did most of the detail work for you.
