Admittedly, I'm not a SW collector, but for a while now I've wanted an accurate looking 6" Han Solo & Chewie to join Mando & Groku, Darth Vader, Captain America and Spidey as some of my favorite non-Joe, iconic movie character action figures for my desk at work. Finally having a few extra bucks around to play with, I recently picked up a loose Bespin Han and carded Archive Series Chewie second hand from Mercari. But something is a little off.
While they each looks pretty good individually, Chewie looks to be at least 10% larger scaled than Han. Instead of being a head taller, he is head and shoulders taller and his crossbow is half as tall as Han, who generally looks a little tiny by comparison. I put Han on a stand and boosted him again by placing that atop another stand to add probably 3/8" and he still just comes to the top of Chewie's shoulder.
Han seems to be of the same mildly diminutive scale as Mando and Darth, a little less impressive than GI Joe CS, while Chewie looks like he'd fit in pretty well with the Dreadnoks. What's the deal? Are there versions of each that match up better or is every SWBS Chewie a little larger scaled and every Han just a little fella? And please don't tell me that they only finally scaled up TFA Old Man Han
