What's the point of this? There no new product coming. Even the "50th" was a joke...a milestone that should've been HUGE!

Maybe back a couple years when I was really into GI Joe I'd go for sure. Now it's too late and a little far for me to be really interested in going. Plus the kids are still in school then. I'd be interested in the customizing class but I'm not sure how much I'd get out of it at this point except socializing with some other customizers or pros.

Also, the story said something about a 6" Joe line?

Folks need to knock it off with that 6" nonsense. They can't properly finish a 4" line or keep it going for more than 4 half-ass waves between reboots. And there's already the foot tall dolls, why do folks need a 6" Joe line?

Hasbro needs to stop dividing their efforts into silly shit like dolls, role-playing crap, action shooters, figures, etc. and do what works, or fucking stop altogether. I hope all that "Black Series" talk is just fanwank gibberish and nothing more.

That's the rub, innit? I agree with most of that first paragraph, especially about 6" Joes.

Agree. I will never buy a 6" figure. No way I will start collecting a new scale.

Ya know, if there was a 100% guarantee that a 6" line would be completely fleshed out (and ARAH accurate) I'd get into it. But I'm not bothering with another line full of endless Dukes, CCs, SEs, Destros, SSs etc while they drag their feet or never deliver at all the B and C list characters. Or make them but they're :greedy: exclusives.

Yup, so for how slow Hasbro and distribution move from showing them and actually putting them out. Odds are good no new Joe's this year. maybe by Christmas, but doubtful. With another movie projected in 2016, what they show could be scrapped before it is even released due to the movie stuff they will want out. Just like when Retaliation was set to originally be released. So much good stuff never got shipped or stocked by stores.

I bet most of what they show at Joecon doesn't see the light of day for a long time to come if at all. Might as well name everything Kwinn or Ultimate Gung Ho.

It's one of the many reasons Sgt. Savage failed miserably.....unfortunate because I really liked where it was going.

Now, GI Joe is bigger than those Sgt Savage figs. go figure.

I bet we see Ultimate Gung-Ho, to be released this fall as another TRU exclusive.

50th was revealed in the spring/summer last year correct? And that line was thrown together last minute with no Joe team and made it to retail for the Holidays. I think what ever Hasbro shows at Joecon will be released this fall/winter. It should be the same situation, with it being a small line released late in the year. I also wouldn't be surprised to see Gung-Ho in the lineup.

I'm not expecting much until GI Joe 3 comes out. Hopefully we have someone on the inside that can get them to put out more than just movie inaccurate concepts and actually have some awesome additions we all want.

The later Retaliation waves were pretty decent. As long as the movie line is on par with the Retaliation line I'll be happy.

id like to see some more DG Joes hit shelves. While I loved seeing figs packed with accessories in te POC / 30th line and a few of the Retaliation figs, by and large I don't need them. Granted the Stuff that came with lifeline was friggin awesome, you get an ultimate Doc from retaliation and nearly all that stuff goes to an unused fodder bin.

I'd rather see a figure with a backpack and rifle.

I like what they were doing in the DG line, but I'll never complain about excessive accessory counts. Sure most of it is useless, but I could sure as hell go for Life Line's accessories right about now.

It would be nice to see the DG line continue as a vehicle for army builders. Maybe a tan Shipwreck and a grey Cobra Trooper.

Fingers crossed that they produce some more of the concept case stuff for 2015. Seems like a no brainer but then when has that mattered. I'd like to see a multipack of the zombie figures. I'm not crazy about zombies but I know people are and I think that packs of army builders make more sense than packs of named characters.

If they release concept Gung-Ho I'll feel the year wasn't a total waste for the Joe line.

agreed. those figures aren't going to sell to folks who have no idea what they are...but damned if they didn't sell like hot cakes when they came out to the folks who did. Problem is, I think it would be a tough sell to DG if you didn't have the name recognition of the Duke, SS, SE, CC, etc.

That may have been the case at first but I think the sales numbers for waves 1 & 2 would probably speak louder than character name recognition at this point. Based on personal experience and what I've read here and on other boards they did sell like hot cakes. I'm guessing the corporate bean counters have seen and recognize that even if the sales associates don't know what they're scanning.
