They were kinda stylized, but yeah, they were pretty neat. I only bought He-Man and Skeletor because I wasn't really collecting much, just wanted something for my desk. But the way I hear it, mattel goofed the distribution/case assortments so badly that it was impossible for anyone to actually collect them anyway.
The whole series (39 episodes) is $7.49... you really can't go wrong.

I put my finger on what makes the 200X cartoons so great. They treat each and every character equally, and with respect. Every character has their shining moments, and all of them take equal beat downs on different occasions.
I really love that the good guys get their asses handed to them if they try to invade Snake mountain. He-Man's been out for the count quite a few times, and the story where King Grayskull dies is pretty epic.

Yeah, I enjoyed the new toon. I had a thing for 1984 Teela, and the updated version wasn't bad either.

"Took us a few days to get to the bottom of this one. Bottom line is these items were not sold to WMT. They appear to be at only one single location and this WMT aquired them on the secondary market from a third party. Mattel did not set up this end cap or this promotion. There are no plans for MOTUC to be distributed at retail at this time. Maybe the toy aisle manager is a big MOTU fan. Not really sure, but this is not a Mattel program. That i can confirm."

I agree with most of the posters, in that Mattel most likely dumped some of their inventory on Wal-Mart since some of the product wasn't selling very well.
If only the stupid bastards at "Matty" would monitor the number of IP hits they get when their items go on sale, and also factor in the numbers of what sells on the website...
They could then have an idea of what is selling best on their site, and thereby enhance the online shopping experience therein.
I am still wondering what "surprises" they release in the second half of this year.

I've spent entirely way too much time on MOTUC recently

My ex had a Masters bbq with my collection. She left (another guy) and on her way out the door decided to torch (literally) several of my collectibles. Out of 30 figures I only had two that escaped and I had to start my collection over again. Cleaning that fireplace was a pain in the ass.

my favorite will always be Battle Cat. I still have my vintage fig as it was my first. But a runner up would have to be Draego-man... that thing has an incredible sculpt!

no I'm not. I had them when I was a kid and I've been very tempted many times to jump on them but I know that I don't have limitations. Much like the 25th line, once I get 1 wave, then I need to get the rest and 1 set of carded and openers etc etc. Now I have tubs of figures that I haven't displayed in years and have 17 dukes lol.
Maybe one day I'll jump on them if I run into a bunch of extra money and room

Get the Wind Raider first! I got mine the other day and I can't stop looking at it! It truly is a work of art.
I just bargained with an eBay guy to get Granamyr for £80 shipped. That's a great price, imo.
And BLAY just agreed to sell me Snout Spout and some spare weapons for $25.
So.
This week I'll be getting - 2x TRU Mer Men (one for a custom), pink Star Sister, TRU Stratos, Snake men 2 pack (still not arrived from last week), Granamyr, Snout Spout (he HAS to fight Draego-Man!), BA He-Man, original MAA, Clawful, Rattlor, Zodak, Draego-Man, Great unrest weapons pak, weapons rack and some loose weapons.
Gonna sell some ML BaFs to pay for this lot or I'll be fucking broke lol.
Like I said earlier, I'm collecting with a friend, together we'll have -

Yeah, I'm gonna put the Staction head on Snout Spout.
Plus another cool point of buying Granny from a third party vendor is if he's fucked, I can just return him for a refund and not have to deal with Matty/ DR.
I'm sure a lot of folk are breaking their's because they are just trying to smash the parts together and not heat up the sockets beforehand.
