Someone subscribes and doesn't want him I may be in to take Tollbooth off your hands.

Unless they get lazy on him.

Falcon sorta looks like the Marauders version. Widescope also looks like he will be a Shock Trooper with a Beachhead mask.

Either way, I'm kind of interested in those two.

Big Bear looks like he comes with a bag of golf clubs.

Some folks see it as a good thing to get a ton of gear with figures, and depending on which ones it is, I agree... If the gear's not random as hell. Some of those guys look to be a tad overloaded with gear, and I hope it fits in the package without looking ridiculous. One could say I'm bitching that there's too much gear, but there's also a fine touch in being able to edit oneself, too.

Then you have poor characters like Cover Girl and Falcon who seem to have one or two weapons and that's it. CG was the weakest with gear of the entire FSS, but I guess the figure's demand more than made up for it. (HT response: "It's vintage-accurate! The original came with zero gear!" No, she came with a fucking Wolverine.)

I wish they'd just show the figures instead of doing all the build-up crap. I really don't have the patience for their games anymore. JoeCon was such a flop that they need to just wow us in one big reveal and give us the pricing and info.

Big Bear looks to use that ridiculous cancelled Arctic Duke/Alpine webgear. I love that coat, but it would've worked for an arctic figure... I don't consider Big Bear to be one. True, Russia is cold, but that jacket's ridiculously big.

Look at how simple his design is:

http://www.yojoe.com/action/92/bigbear.shtml

I'm already disappointed in him, and I was really looking forward to Big Bear for some reason. They should've used that parka on Iceberg, personally. And given him a new head, too.

Those are lackluster as hell, and Airtight in TF colors is a total waste of a slot. You could literally paint a 30th Airtight with stripes and brown gear and call it a day.

Of those, the only ones that I really want are Dragonsky, and that's to complete the OG. Skullbuster looks like Skeletor dressed a Range Viper, and I guess Falcon looks passable... I still dislike those upper arms and legs with the bulky pads. And the webgear is SOOO dated now!

The cost of the 12 figure subscription service is $306 (+ shipping for 6 shipments). You can pay all at once or in three installments of $102 (billed to your credit card). When you subscribe and choose pay by Installment, you will be billed for the first two month's shipments. Then sometime during the second month of shipping (October/November), you will be billed for the 3rd and 4th months' shipments and sometime during the 4th month of shipping (December/January) you will be billed for the final 2 months' shipments.

Please note that for the installment payment option there is a $4 service charge per billing while the pay in full option has one $4 service charge. Please also note that for installment buyers, there is an additional charge each time a billing is attempted if your card is not approved. If your card has been declined and we have to rebill, we will only be able to retry your billing three (3) times before your subscription is cancelled.

Each retry has an additional fee added to your total charge (please see the Terms and Conditions.) For example when the second and third installments are billed, if your card fails, the first time we retry will carry a $4 service fee, the second time will carry an $8 service fee and the third time will carry a $12 service fee. If it fails at that point, we will cancel the subscription.

We have found that the majority of the problems is because the billing address entered doesn't match your credit card statement. Please check your statement and enter your billing address exactly the same as your statement, even if you don't agree that this is your correct address.

This Figure Subscription Service is a "build to order process" so you can order as many as you like, until the order period closes. At that time, we will not process anymore subscriptions and we may/may not have additional figures in the club store at a higher per figure price.

The order period is from May 1 through May 22nd. You can check out the pictures and order link at GIJoeClub.com. If you have any questions, please let us know and we will answer them in the FAQs at GIJoeClub.com.

Enjoy!
Brian

I was really hoping for a better Falcon. I wouldn't have minded the original with the new head. Those pads really suck. :talktothehand:

That list is quite lackluster IMO :)D)...if I even cared anymore, I'd be really interested in Tollbooth, Keel-Haul and Desert Scorpion...

Maybes would be Big Bear and Dragonsky...

Again with the "outdated" nonsense.

The 25th blueshirt webgear from 2007? It doesn't fit right on any figure it comes on. Granted, the Falcon webgear that came with Footloose may not fit that torso, but the sculpt work was tons better, and it was only a year or so newer. Fit a tad funny on Footloose, but not badly.

I think he was agreeing with you....?

Haha I don't think so. He questioned why I thought the TRU green shirts looked "dated" in another thread. Some of the early 25th stuff still looks ok, but almost everything that came in those first 2 5-packs just looks so old now.

The Trooper webgear looks to fit Falcon just fine here. It looks tightly formed around his body.

100% totally agree...some stuff just lacks the detail the new stuff does

The newer stuff has more gear sculpted on making it look busier. That doesn't make the detail of the sculpts better. Take this picture for example, if these guys were made into figures. The guy on the right has less gear, that doesn't make him less detailed. The gear there has the same level of detail as the guy on the left. In real life not everyone wears ten tons of gear. Having less gear doesn't make for an inferior design.

If you can't see it, there's nothing I (we) can do about that...but look at them arms for instance...seriously, you can't see the sharper more detailed fabric creases?...and that's just the arms...

Same level of detail in the boots. Same level of detail in the folds and creases of the pants.

Edit: Sorry, I'll settle down now.

I see what you're saying to a degree, but I just think it's weird that they didn't use Falcon's webgear on Falcon, but we got it on Footloose.

I can see I'm not the only one disappointed in Skull Buster. I was really hoping for the Devil's Due design... which I guess is pretty close to Shadow Tracker aside from the colors, and... hey look, that's ST's gear.

I'm also facepalming at the inclusion of Airtight and Shipwreck. I'm all for international figures, but can we at least get original characters instead of same-dude-in-stripes? It's for this reason that I was okay with Trigger and Lightning, and will be okay with Bombardier.

Falcon is forever doomed to get poor figures it seems. Though this one is the one that comes the closest to not being a turd.

And if Dragonsky wasn't OG, and I didn't have a soft spot for OG... but he is and I do and it looks pretty okay for a pink and purple dude.

BTW, hi.

Tony the Tiger doesn't excite me one bit. I have no idea why the fuck people are jumping for joy at the inclusion of ghastly repaints for $30+, but then that awful Nano-B.A.T. had folks busting nuts over at HT, so who knows. Folks will buy anything with the Joe name on it.
