And they added a retarded holster, and some weird ass pouch set. Still not perfect for everyday usage.

No, but at least the knee pads are gone without leaving a hole. So many ARAH figures using the knee pad version of these legs when they shouldn't have knee pads.

It really irks me that they didn't use the "fixed" legs on Lifeline and left off the fucking "RESCUE" lettering on his knees altogether. At the very least they could've put it underneath the kneepads. Then they turn around and put the "fixed" knees on Firefly. :grumpy:

As much as I love those legs (aside from not being able to stand for shit), including the entire Shock Trooper buck, I'm just sick of seeing them now. Since they came out, they seem to constitute like 70% of figure builds now, it seems.

They're great, but goddamn have they not used them to death? I wish they'd make a holster for the SE legs that didn't have the stupid silencer loop, and stop using that stupid fucking Lifeline... ear thermometer/scope thingie altogether, so if they're going to at least keep using the shit out of them, fix them. And they can all lose the knee pads, I'm sick of those.

I'd be fine if they did a new set of thighs without any kind of straps and with the pockets on the sides, and if they started pairing the Agent Mouse forearms with the ST upper arms. I am pretty tired of the combat shirt torso, however, and wouldn't mind a new blouse mold. Looking back, I guess I am tired of the Shock Trooper legs, too.

I would really like to see a "50th" or "concept case" Wild Bill that looks like he stepped out of 1969, but I don't reckon that's a possibility at this point.

While it could be worse, they should've spent a LOT of effort on him for as shitty as the rest of the set is. This is the most lackluster set in years, and it's embarrassing that they didn't tool more accurate weapons yet will be giving their "Club-created" bullshit of a joke character "General Mayhem" a new head sculpt.

Also, if they were going to do Metal-Head, he's a figure people have wanted for quite a while and putting him in a Con set is a dick move. He belonged in an FSS or as a Hasbro figure (granted, Hasbro is likely out of the game at this point).

What a disappointment.

They could have done a version of the NJCC one and it would have been way better.

Eh, that one was fairly ass as well. If it was simplicity that they wanted to go with, I'd have used the entire Low-Light torso and upper legs and upper arms:

Low-Light (v8) G.I. Joe Action Figure - YoJoe Archive

...and given 50th Cobra Commander lower arms (or said fuck it and just kept the Low-Light lower arms, because they're at least crazy-padded) and instead of the attached holsters, created "dock" pegs that would attach to the retooled leg missile launchers, and maybe used the same lower legs as they chose. The lower legs look pretty close to the original figures', to be honest, and are the only impressive/clever parts chosen besides the new head, of course.

Webgear? Not sure of, but there's got to be some existing shit that would've worked well enough. Night-Fox webgear, maybe?

Blown their entire new-mold budget on Metal-Head, and said fuck it to new parts on General Mayhem and Stalker. But they're retarded, so they went with the shitty build they did, and are going to ego-jerk their stupid Club-created-original General.

And Dear Christ, can someone please teach them goddamn Photoshop? That is embarrassing work.

Part of me wants to be mad, but it's such a tiny part compared to the "I just don't give a fuck lets see how bad it can really get" part.

It couldn't get much worse. I tell you what, I'd rather they bought 1,000 loose ARAH v,2 Metal Heads and put them in the sets. Yeah, it is that bad.

The webbing is cool, but doesn't work here, or with that gun he has. I'm really not a fan of those J-V legs, and the final insult is the PoC Aliens Duke rocket-gun-thingy.

Missed this post. Wild Bill could use a redo, honestly. None of the 25th ones were that great, but the ROC one suprisingly came the closest, especially with those great lower legs and new upscaled head (the sculpt is fine, it was just originally too damn tiny). It'd be nice to get one with the classic look, and an alternate vest so you could put him in a proper, more realistic flight vest with helmet and hat, to boot.

See what I mean on the legs? A more "universal" upper legs, with an option to have strap-less pockets on the sides (or some alternate peg-on item, if necessary) would be fantastic. And those Mouse forearms are great, and would look good like you said. They don't necessarily need to completely retire those SE legs or ST parts, but come up with an alternative and stop using the shit out of them. I think they may be the absolute most reused parts to date.

And a new damn shirted torso would be good, too. The 25th Mutt/Viper one isn't terrible, but we could use a new one sans that damn turtleneck they used on Firefly. That's why I loved that "Chef" modded one from JoeCon last year... It was the Firefly body with a normal-ass neck, which is all I want for a proper Duke, Flint, Falcon, etc.

New figures literally need just webgear and a new head/helmet for the most part to create a good portion of figures, using all-existing tooling. It's just about being smart with the existing tooling, which they don't always do.

Hasbro has a pretty ace modern aircrew survival vest, and their flight helmets aren't bad if you can't get a Bbi one.

I could probably do a custom Vietnam WB if that damn 21st flight helmet would turn up at a cast0r's site. I think slaymaker sent one off to Tofu, but I reckon that's Alyosha territory at this point.

This ^^, a lot. The constant and relentless f*%#ing up and lack of caring on their part for the past few years has made me pretty indifferent. Like you said, it's expected that whatever they do will be bad, it's just gotten humorous to see how bad.

Those stupid fuckers mailed out their Club Magazine (I'm a "third class" subscriber at $44/year, because fuck paying an extra $20 to get that shitty magazine 2 weeks earlier, so I won't get it for another 2 weeks) and showed the General Mayhem before they did their "proper" dragged-out reveal. Dumb bastards can't even plan their own painfully slow reveals without fucking it up.

General Mayhem. For some reason, I thought he was in the IGvOG set, but he wasn't.

That torso is good stuff. Too much of a business cut to look good with jodhpurs, but I digress.

Cast0rs, possibility of seeing that recast?

Just posted this at HT:

From the semi-decent photo of a badly-rendered digital part/Photoshop composite, I can tell it's definitely a new head, and new webgear (full vest, as it's a digital render and looks to be one piece) over an unviewable base torso (likely a skinny one like the Shock Trooper, or 25th Cobra Trooper) with the helmet from Lift-Ticket (the one that came with the Tomahawk) and ROC Destro legs. Looks to be maybe 50th Cobra Commander arms?

And that patch on the sleeve kinda-sorta looks like an over-simplified Miles Mayhem's mask/crest:

...But he's clearly got muttonchops like the 2005 Club General Mayhem, so, who knows.

Which pisses me off that they baby their own creation when they short-changed Metal-Head, or Keel-Haul, who could've used much more budget there because they're much more iconic figures who only got new heads.

I'm kind of wondering if it's the Destro/professor x torso with CC arms, roc Destro legs. I know the collar/tie combo looks like it's apart of the jacket but that could be the bad photoshop representation.

The torso appears to be one piece and a CG render, including the jacket... MAYBE not, but it'd just be smarter for them to include it all as one webgear piece over top of a really skinny base torso, than bother trying to line it up with that Prof X torso, personally.

That's how I'd handle it, anyhow. Kind of like how they make the shirt collar part of the "vest" webgear on Leatherneck. I keep hoping we'll see a new Hawk with a similar coat design at JoeCon from Hasbro.

Leads me to believe it may very well be the Destro suit body underneath. The tie and collar seem to be lit more realistically than the jacket.

If they do that, they could maybe get a Marine Gung-Ho out of the jacket by using a 25th trooper torso underneath for the Marine collar.

Although on second thought, the coat opening is still all wrong for that.

That and it doesn't look anything like the Desto coat.

Now, it' is entirely plausible, hell, likely, that the SDCC Destro torso and tie are underneath.

Apparently Hasbro will have new product to show at JoeCon. I remain sceptical, but who knows, it may not suck.
