Still, compared to other lines out there these are still sitting very well. Ever price Gundams or figurearts? Or even my other addiction S.H. Monsterarts? I easily drop $70 a piece on 6" figures that don't have the paint or quality that the MOUTC line offers. Sure there are some QC problems but I do give Matty some kudos for attempting to do something about it (reissues) where I have yet to see my SHMA Ghidorah receive the same treatment. Imagine paying $130 for a figure that is known to be broken in the box. We are gettin a ton of plastic for the money, especially when comparing it to other lines.

I don't have an issue with the prices or shipping.

QC is a little iffy at times but my biggest issue (with any line) is the availability of limited run figures. Fisto? I never had a chance to get that guy, let alone Shadow Weaver the Sorceress and others. Granted, yes I should have a had a subscription but events out of my control prevented that. The other things I put out there was why all these obscure characters?

I do have an issue with the prices and shipping, but that's not the overriding factor in my decision not to purchase. I feel raped every time I order, and so it always taints my enthusiasm for what should be an exciting purchase.

And don't get me started on digital river. Those SOBs should be summarily removed from the global gene pool, lest they procreate and poison the species.

Shadow Weaver was a sub-only figure, so no one got a chance to actually purchase that one outside of a yearly sub.

QC is lackluster, most notably joints that break when being moved for the first time and swapped upper arms. How hard is it to label left and right?! Even Matty brass don't notice when they get the samples. It's like they're too busy deciding which background character from 1989 to stick us with in November.

And the obscure characters are what's keeping the line alive and killing it at the same time. They can't put out everything people want or they'll all just go away. So they fill slots with worthless nobodies and obscure fan-made nonsense. But that too has a way of slowly killing the line by making subscribers pay for characters they don't know, like, or care to own. It's a catch-22.

This line has been going since 2008 and we still don't have Ram Man, probably the 4th or 5th most important "master". It's not because of lack of demand, but they know a lot of people will simply stop collecting once they get the core characters they love and remember. I'm likely one of those people. When I obtain Ram Man by one means or another, I'm probably out. Barring a new vehicle (battleram) or something unforseenly awesome (snake mtn), there just isn't anything else I care to own in this line.

What that really says is that they should have had an exit strategy rather than letting it bleed fans and wonder why. Mattel in general can't find it's ass with both hands and a flashlight, so this is no surprise really. Managing an online collector-focus line in a bad economy when you run out of "good" characters is not a fun situation to be in. But Scott is a huge huckster, clearly a carnival barker in a former life, and his less than forthright comments in the past have not garnered any good will with most of the fan community.

Lies, delays, high prices, terrible QC, worse customer service, and unwanted characters are all a major part of the problem. The 4H sculpts are about the only positive thing about this line. They are awesome.

There. That's what I really think. There was no option in the poll for that.

Now scott is trying to find out why we don't buy his products anymore. Problem is, there is no way to choose more than one option. For me, the first four choices all add up to the reason I'm not buying but a couple of figures a year.

It feels like the MOTUC team is in panic mode.

I think you needed to check "other" and write in "all of the above"...that or copy/paste what you wrote in the post before mine

I'm pretty sure the box wouldn't hold but about 80 characters; just not enough to say what I needed to say!

I just picked the biggest factor, and that's character selection. I'd rather they put out every popular character and then shut it down rather than string the fans along with Netossa and Fangman. whiskey.tango.foxtrot.

When I said obscure I was mostly referring to the likes of Sir-laser-lot or the Spector whatever he's called. But I like that we are getting other characters like Draego-man (a personal favorite) and even the likes of Gygor and Griffin.

I don't care for exclusives in any line, which is why I wish they made Shadow Weaver available to everyone. They want to complain about the cost of tooling and molds, what did that one set them back I wonder?

But if they decide to pull the plug tomorrow so be it. Nobody's making me buy these and it would just mean I'd thow my extra cash at other stuff.

One thing I wish they did was give the fans the choice on what they would like to see. Public poll for 2014 for example. Give a list of characters they are thinking about developing and then let the masses decide if something like Laser-lot sees the light of day.

In any event I for one am having more fun collecting these than any other line right now. Lots of figures available and I haven't had but only a few qc issues myself. I'm looking forward to picking up Ram Man, Jitsu and Snakeface this year and who knows, maybe more.

I probably know more about higher-end Japanese toy collecting than most here. It was expensive BEFORE the world economy flatlined. Things won't likely improve.

Nothing except production numbers makes these figures worth more than 25 shipped. It's Mattel's own fault they fucked the MOTU brand at retail with that terrible 2002 line.

I ticked "other" in the poll then wrote "1-5 sort it out. Fire Rueben". That guy is a fucking imbecile. He's the guy responsible for most dumbass ideas in the line and out ranks the 4HM on design choices. Sir Laserlot, retarded weapons Pak colour choices, abs on Horde Prime etc are all down to him. Fucking moron.

Ask NSA about it, he can probably set it up if there's enough demand for it.

And if he won't, then tell him you're taking 12 of your friends and starting a MOTUC website dedicated to JUST MOTUC!

Hahahahahaha!

As though I have to ask, is everyone ready for the Ram-Man / Jitsu meltdown next month?

What a disaster this will probably be, but I am going to try to secure those two and get Snake Face in April. Other than those three, I am solid all the way to the summer when Mattel finally reveals whatever will be released then. Fighting Foe Men, Karrati and all that other crap released this spring can KMA.

I have given up on seeing Saurod and Blast-Attak since Dark Horse revealed that they are NOT on Mattel's recent trademark/copyright lists.

BTW, have you seen Dark Horse's concept Battle Ram? Mattel needs to get their shit together, and put cool stuff like this out:

I've been wanting that Battle Ram since the second I saw it last year. I think the Wind raider is my favourite MotUC item so far, and I always liked the BR a tiny bit more.

I swear if this doesn't get released I will find Scott Nutlicker and kick him in the balls so hard they will travel up through his body and hit his brain. When I do this, a claxon will sound and I shall win a prize.

You know, I'm not sure. I've only managed to buy only a couple things from Matty at day of sale but never bought multiples.

One more day and I can order Fisto... :)

Then Shadow Weaver is next!

Who do you guys need more of?

The only slightly rare figures I need are Tri Klops, Beast man and Scare Glow. I already have Fisto and I'm not that interested in Shadow Weaver, Teela and Sorceress.

Got some pending trades for these guys as of today - BG Teela x2, BG Evil Lyn, Faceless one, Vikor, Faker, Count Marzo, Demo Man, Chief Carnivus, Vykron armour (for a custom) and some loose weapons.
