nice! I wondered if they would go big with some stuff like they have with HALO. I may have to save up for that one... :D

Love these, so deceptively simple.

So that new hovercraft is 2700 pieces. Put in the cost of similar lego sets and it will be a $150 set. wow.

And it can carry something like the Tank they put out.

Mega doesn't make very durable products. The halo figures are pretty damn cool and their sets are impressive looking. But the plastic they use suffers from stress cracks and are not consistent in shape. Also their bricks have some flashing. The only reason I have some is because they have parts that LEGO hadn't designed and they be used in moderation [and with a little caution] with LEGO and Kre-O. LEGO is the best, Kre-O is second best and Mega is last. Then there are all the cheap china knockoffs e.g., BELA. Also, Brickarms--to militarize your LEGO since LEGO doesn't want to put out anything military related.

Damn, I fogot to hit Target today.. I gotta get a couple games on clearance and check the Halo Bloks.

I saw a buttload of new Halo stuff at TRU. New Elephant, the Didact set... I forget the others. They also had new Alpha mystery packs.... Oh and their Mantis Mech is marked down to $20

Target has the Zombie Farm for $20. Or it was last time I checked. It may be even cheaper now.

reports of all Joe KREO on sale / Clearance at TRU. Saw on both Hisstank and OG13. I still need the wolverine set and maybe a 2nd ferret. Might need to take a road trip up to Cedar Rapids tonight.

I occasionally do, but it's been a while.

I helped a buddy of mine build the Tantive IV and Star Destroyer, and another friend build his Millennium Falcon (the big 'un).

we do...

My son's Halo Mega Bloks and part of his SW collection(sorry for the crappy pic)

His Architecture collection

The extras. We don't build as much as we used to, in fact, he still has a huge Halo set that he never opened from Xmas.. probably because it'll take us a good month to build it, but still, every once in a while we pull out the bins still.

Sumbitch. Was in the LEGO Store and realized with dawning horror that they appear to have deleted virtually all the Creator Expert Modular Buildings. I was hoping to pick up a few more for Christmas but it looks like the Parisian Restaurant is the only one they have now (I already have the Palace Theater.)

That sucks.

wife just bought the town hall this weekend. They were sold out of the parisan restaurant.

So far she has:

Town hall
Pet shop
The Palace
Grand Emporium

I love LEGO BUILDINGS and it annoys me that the City line is so focused on fire trucks, police cars and criminals. I wish they'd do some $20-30 sets that were basic stores or something, so I was really pleased when I first saw the Modular buildings. Unfortunately though the price tag is a little too high for me to make regular purchases of them but they do fit perfectly as that ''big'' Xmas or birthday gift. That was my plan, anyway...

I'd hoped it was my local store but the LEGO site only has limited listings for them now, too...

Oh well.

I really don't think there is a bricklink for Mega brand. I think BL is strictly LEGO brand.

You'd think that... but BL has at least in the past, had 3rd party accessories from various people (including mine).

Shame, 'cause I'd love to find various weapons and gear from the CoD line.

Oh well.

I've always loved the Lego Star Wars brand. And since both myself and my wife are HUGE Halloween fans, I also have all the Lego Monster Fighter kits, except the rare Target zombie one, which breaks my heart. :( , But such is life.

For people like Ewokhunter, I'm sooo beyond jealous. I've always loved that Death Star kit. You're blessed to have it. :) I don't think I'd ever be brave enough to hold it up. I also adored the Megablocks Pyrates kits, and I have almost all of them. Two of my dreams has been to get the Lego Death Star, and the Lego special edition Haunted House, since we run the largest Halloween yard haunt in our city. Every year we get hundreds of kids and their loved ones to visit our Yard Haunt. We have to save up through out the year to have all the candy we need.

Halloween is in our blood. It takes us almost all the week before Halloween to set everything up for the big night. And the Lego Death Star because I'm a Stormtrooper and Tiefighter pilot IRL with the 501st. Legion. Almost all of the Lego; and Star Wars action figures I collect are 99% Imperial. I'm Imperial and Halloween for life. :D

I just wish Lego wasn't so damned expensive. Their kit prices are borderline outrageous now But once the Minifig bug bites you......

yeah, you understand.
