Amongst other things, I have this Navy SEAL Combat Diver on my bench, trying to finish him up...

(yes, that is the same head as my Delta Force Operator lol... I like that headcast, what can I say)

It does. I was trying to get the best angle but I've only got my phone camera. I added some light tan and dark brown shapes but it's still off somehow. I think the shapes are too big or the paint colors are wrong.

What I really want to do is Multicam Black but I'm still trying to figure out the right colors for that. I've got a shock trooper body w/arms, ultimate Duke upper legs, ST lower legs and Daremo's F1:18th head to paint up once I figure it out.

Pattern looks a little big, some of the colors look a bit too dark and the edges between colors are really sharp. The pattern looks good, just a bit off for Multicam.

Mulitcam Black reference, if you need it.

I tried mc black using smaller shapes and blurrier lines but it's still missing something-

I'll have to try the painter's sponge idea and see if that works any better. Thanks for the feedback.

I think you pattern is too big...if you sponge over what you have...then you might have what you are looking for...

Making a Purple Man for a dude on Facebook and I'm starting to get my customizer vibe back. I have been having a hard time getting motivated to work on any figures lately, but I am enjoying putting together this very purpley Marvel villan I had never heard of until last night.

I dig the Fury arms for Projekt A, but neither coat option is working for me. Gonna have to source another damn RoC/PoC Cobra Commander to donate a pelvis and legs. Projekt B is looking to be non-combat arms (naturally) MOS enlisted, and is pretty much just legs. LJ's torso was a convenient place holder for pics, but I'm looking elsewhere. Either head will work. I guess nailing down role and character will solidify parts. Maybe I'll go IDF, or perhaps Peshmerga.

Evil Scarlett just for shits and grins. I kind of like that Javelin, even though the CLU is pretty spartan on details and the muzzle cap isn't removable. On the plus side the CLU is separate, so your ammo bear doesn't look ridiculous.

TRU currently has that winter Cobra Commander for $7.99 if you want the legs and pelvis without having to order or trade for one.

If that's the one you were talking about.

I dig the two chicks, man! The Evil Scarlett is a winner for sure. Where did you source that Javelin?

Avengers Nick Fury. Bbi did a better one years ago, though.

It's not, but as it so happens they all use the same legs and torso, so win! Now watch me schlep my ass down there and they don't have him.

I can help you out if you don't have any luck. My local TRU had about five or six of them just a few days ago and even at the current low price, I don't think they'll fly off the shelf any time soon.

If the people in your area were into suited customs they'd be having vicious knife fights in the Barbie aisle to get to them. :D

HA!

I'm gonna run by tomorrow and see what I can find. At the very least maybe I'll find some artifacts I can use.

Got my 1:18 bookshelf how I wanted it. Looks nice and beat up. Also got the snake staff and cobra dog whistle painted up nice and gold.

Yes huh!

The pare spot at the throat is intentional. I wanted to see how well the paint covered, and I'm pretty pleased with that aspect.

Okay, real custom work:

Nothing is epoxied together, yet. Still don't like the coat for this piece, but I'm at a loss for something that looks like the coat that should be there. As it sits it looks like a damn cowboy. :grumpy:

Former CIA spook, so it definitely needs to be a suit jacket, or a less flamboyant overcoat, which is why the Fury one fails at life.

...yea, I see what you mean; even trimmed the shoulder of that jacket wouldn't play well as a suit.

Are you going to sculpt one? That has to be possible...

Still looks cool, as does the scepter and whistle!

I was thinking that the Prof jacket would work, but I'm not amenable to separating them from their figures, and I'm not sure about cast quality in siomething like this.

The MiB is a no-go simply because it's closed, hence rendering using the Jones torso pointless. It's also a bit broad in the shoulders.

Edit: Remembered I had a MiB coat in the bins. As I thought, looks shitty.
